DriveDroid is an Android application which allows you to boot your PC from ISO/IMG files stored on your phone. This is useful for installing operating systems or rescuing your data when your PC is not working.

DriveDroid allows you to boot your PC from ISO/IMG files stored on your phone. This is ideal for trying Linux distributions or always having a rescue thumb drive around. If you have a Linux ISO file, for example, you can use DriveDroid to boot from it, and then use DriveDroid to access the ISO file from your phone for installation.
You can also use DriveDroid to create a bootable USB drive from your phone, for use in BIOS-based PCs. This is ideal for situations where you don’t have a working optical drive, or for installing an operating system on a netbook or other device with a small form factor.
DriveDroid requires root, and will work on any device with a capable kernel and a storage partition that can be used for read/write access.
